After working in media education, new media and broadcast journalism on the East Coast, Kali decided to move to Los Angeles and dive headfirst into moviemaking as a Directing Fellow at Chapman University, allowing him to collaborate with Oscar-winning producer Cathy Schulman and to shadow Emmy-winning director Millicent Shelton. Upon finishing his first feature film Feel Like Ghosts, Kali has since returned to the East Coast. His award-winning short films have screened at film festivals at home and abroad, been exhibited in programs for domestic abuse education and at-risk youth and premiered in Times Square. Kali is a filmmaker, a college professor, a comic book writer and, on a good day, a pretty decent basketball player.
